Roll-On / Roll-Off
Roll-On/Roll-Off shipping of your construction machinery is at the core of our business. Since the inception of our three companies, we have worked very closely with manufacturers, diamond miners, airport builders, coal miners and many, many more, to successfully transport machinery using this fast and efficient method of shipping.

The Roll-On/Roll-Off shipping method involves the direct driving-on and driving-off of cargo to a vessel. This method enables shippers to load the cargo to the truck at site, plant or warehouse, transport the cargo to the load port and have the cargo loaded directly onto the vessel. By rolling cargo on board these vessels and rolling it off at its destination, shippers can reduce the number of times their cargo is handled.

These special ships usually have between 10 to 12 cargo decks, and two of these are mainly reserved for transportation of heavier cargo's such as construction machinery, boats on cradles, trams & trains, and anything else out of the ordinary. This type of vessel, generally known as a PCTC (Pure Car / Truck Carrier), will have a number of liftable decks that can be lifted, in order to take "High & Heavy" cargo, or lowered in order to take many more cars.

These vessels are distinctive to look at. They appear to sit very high in the water and have a box-shaped superstructure.
